Anypoint Platform Operations: On-Premises Deployments

Training information

Introduction

This training is aimed at all IT operations and administration staff, as well as architects who wish to gain practical experience in managing and monitoring Mule applications deployed on on-premises or private cloud Mule runtimes.

 

General information

Target Audience: Mule application administrators, developers, architects, and technical experts. Prerequisites: None.

Target Competencies:

  • Ensure the operational maintenance of a production application.

  • Define a technical deployment architecture based on non-functional requirements.

  • Ensure the security of a technical architecture.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe Mule runtime architecture.

  • Install, configure, run, and tune Mule runtimes.

  • Deploy Mule applications on Mule runtimes.

  • Use Anypoint Runtime Manager to administer, monitor, and analyze Mule applications.

  • Automate administrative tasks.

Program

Part 1: Runtime Setup & Core Administration (7 Hours)

  • 1.1 Runtime Architecture & Installation: Examining typical on-premises architectures, installing Mule runtimes, configuring environments, and managing server domains.

  • 1.2 Deployment & Monitoring Essentials: Deploying Mule applications, configuring secure connections, monitoring via JMX, log management, and basic JVM troubleshooting.

Part 2: Advanced Diagnostics & Reliability (7 Hours)

  • 2.1 Troubleshooting & Optimization: Live debugging techniques, extracting and analyzing heap/thread dumps, and JVM memory tuning for high-load scenarios.

  • 2.2 Runtime Manager & Automation: Administering via Anypoint Runtime Manager (business groups, roles, Runtime Manager Agent), scaling with clusters/load balancers, and automating tasks using Anypoint CLI and REST APIs.

  • Duration: 2 days (14 hours).

  • Capacity: 12 participants maximum.

  • Registration Deadline: 5 working days before the training.

  • Teaching Methods: Alternation of theoretical and practical inputs, certified MuleSoft trainer, course materials provided at the end of the training.

  • Assessment: Continuous and final assessment.
