Anypoint Platform Architecture: Integration Solutions

Training information

Introduction

This training is designed for experienced solution and technical architects, or expert developers, to learn how to design integration solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements. Based on documented case studies, it guides the design for Mule runtimes (4 and 3) according to Anypoint Platform deployment options.

General information

Target Audience: Architects, Senior Developers, and anyone involved in an API development project with Anypoint Platform. Prerequisites: Have taken the Anypoint Platform Development: Fundamentals training, or equivalent.

Target Competencies:

  • Explain and use APIs (Lifecycle, design).

  • Create APIs and integration applications across multiple IS components.

  • Troubleshoot APIs and integrations.

Learning Objectives:

  • Build an application network (API-led connectivity).

  • Use Anypoint Platform (design, build, deploy, manage).

  • Manage heterogeneous connections (Databases, Web Services).

  • Structure applications to facilitate development and deployment.

Program

Part 1: Design Patterns & Event Processing (12 Hours)

  • 1.1 Enterprise Architecture Patterns: Mapping functional needs to integration patterns, event processing differences (Mule 3 vs Mule 4), and advanced routing schemas.

  • 1.2 Transformation & Testing Strategies: Architecting complex multi-system transformations, and designing comprehensive MUnit testing strategies for robust CI/CD integration.

Part 2: Operationalization, State Management & CI/CD (12 Hours)

  • 2.1 Deployment Models & State Management: Selecting deployment targets (CloudHub, RTF, On-Premises), managing state across clustered environments (Object Store, VM queues).

  • 2.2 Traceability & SDLC: Implementing end-to-end transaction monitoring, custom logging frameworks, and standardizing CI/CD pipelines across enterprise teams.

Part 3: Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) & Reliability (11 Hours)

  • 3.1 Reliability & Transaction Management: Implementing Saga patterns for distributed transactions, ensuring high availability (HA), and managing network partitions.

  • 3.2 Performance & Security: Tuning thread pools and memory allocation, optimizing payload processing, and securing transport layers (TLS, custom VPCs, Dedicated Load Balancers).

Logistical information

  • Duration: 5 days (35 hours).

  • Capacity: 12 participants maximum.

  • Registration Deadline: 5 working days before the training.

  • Teaching Methods: Alternation of theoretical and practical inputs, certified MuleSoft trainer, course materials provided at the end of the training.

  • Assessment: Continuous and final assessment.
